Bellevue Brand Communications Firm, Copperfin, Chosen by State Association for Statewide Membership Drive
BELLEVUE, Wash. — January 3, 2006 — The Washington State Dental Hygienists Association (WSDHA), the state’s foremost professional association representing, exclusively, the dental hygiene profession, has hired Bellevue-based Copperfin to assist in strengthening the association through a strategic membership campaign.
According to WSDHA President, Robin Houg, “The face of dental hygiene is changing rapidly, and we knew we needed a firm who could bring fresh and creative perspective to the issues facing our profession. Copperfin’s extensive work with leading dental practices impressed us. We knew they had the creative talent and industry expertise we needed.”
Chief among the priorities of the WSDHA is ensuring that all people in all geographic and economic sectors have access to sufficient preventative dental care. The WSDHA focuses on professional and legislative issues impacting dental hygiene and prevention.
“When the WSDHA first approached us, we were impressed with the depth at which the association represents dental hygienists and the profession as a whole,” stated Mirko Freguia, principal of Copperfin. “We knew instantly that increasing the awareness of the association’s work was paramount to increasing their effectiveness…and that starts with increasing membership.”
To assist with the membership drive, Copperfin enlisted the help of leading research firm, Hebert Research, to provide a statewide research initiative to identify and prioritize dental hygienists’ concerns regarding professional growth and legislative issues. “To increase membership of the WSDHA, we need to know what the primary concerns and interests are of the state’s hygienists. There is no better partner to help us find those answers than Hebert Research,” stated Freguia.
“We are thrilled to be part of such an important project which could ultimately strengthen preventative dental health care in our state,” stated Jim Hebert, president and founder of Hebert Research. “It is particularly satisfying to work with a creative firm such as Copperfin who truly understands the long-term vision and objectives of the client, and who approaches the project from a very sound and pragmatic research perspective.”
The WSDHA membership drive project kicked off in December 2005 and is expected to run through the first half of 2006. Stated Houg, “We are excited to learn the results of this very important research, and put that valuable data to work to make the WSDHA the strongest it has been in its 85 year history.”
